Policy

Enlisted below are some policy rules to borrow books from the library: 

  • Only the library member students are allowed to borrow the library books.
  • Students are advised to get the library/ E. Library membership from the library on a prescribed form, available in the library at circulation desk.
  • Library membership is free of cost.
  • Two books can be borrowed at a time by a student. (If available).
  • The student can get the books issued as required for fifteen days on showing the library membership card.
  • Students are bound to return the books in good condition within the given time.

Timings

  • Timings of the library are from Monday to Saturday at 08:00 am till 05:00 pm, whereas, on Friday timing of the library are from 08:00 am till 01:00 pm.

Collection

The Library of the institution is well equipped with all modern facilities according to the HEC criteria. Library membership is free for all enrolled students. It has a collection of 47000 volumes comprising text books & reference books on all disciplines of health sciences. Text book service is available in the library. For that purpose a book bank is working for last 16 years with 5500 books. WHO corner also has been established in library for reference and research. There is a holding list of 27500 core medical journals present in the library journals section. 37 national and 15 international journals are on our regular list. Nearly 35 videos on different health related topics are available in library. Almost 130 CD’s of medical books are available in library. A general books section comprising 700 literary books is available for students.

Photocopy

To get photocopy from any library book or journal a photocopy facility is available within the library.

Newspapers

Seven daily newspapers are available in FJMU library

E-Library

E-Library is situated in front of Pathology Lab. Twenty terminals are available to provide internet facility. 31397 E. books and 16000 E. Journals are available there to support students in studies.
