EXAMINATION OF THE 8TH BATCH OF CERTIFICATE IN HEALTH PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION (CHPE), FJMU

The Department of Medical Education of FJMU conducted the exam for the Certificate in Health Professionals Education (CHPE) course of Batch 8 on May 4, 2024, under the kind patronage of the esteemed Vice Chancellor of FJMU, Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal, and under the supervision of Principal, FJMC, and Director DME, Prof. Dr. Noreen Akmal.
There were a total of 28 students who appeared in the OSTE exam. 25 examiners and co-examiners, including external and internal faculty, facilitated the exam.
Pro-Vice Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kamran Khalid Khuwaja personally supervised the examination and gave his valuable feedback and suggestions to upgrade the course and examination.
The DME was established at Fatima Jinnah Medical College in 1986 by Prof. Rose. K. Madan. The CHPE was started in 2019. It is a six-month certificate course consisting of three face-to-face contact sessions. Until now, approximately 200 students have obtained CHPE.
The mission of DME Fatima Jinnah Medical University is to promote Professionalism and Excellence in Medical Education. The DME, FJMU, is actively involved in organizing faculty development workshops and continuing Health Professional Education Activities and to promote quality Research and Publication in medical education and a 6-month certificate course in health profession education.
