INAUGURATION OF NEW NEPHROLOGY DEPARTMENT, SGRH

Fatima Jinnah Medical University/Sir Ganga Ram Hospital is improving its standards of patient care under the able leadership of the Vice Chancellor PROF. DR. KHALID MASUD GONDAL(Tamgha Imtiaz, Presidential Pride of Performance). Today, the Vice Chancellor inaugurated a state of the art Nephrology ward, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. During the visit, he was accompanied by the gracious Donors DR MAHMUD AKHTAR SAGOO and DR SAEEDA AKKTAR SAGOO, Dr Ather Yousuf (Medical Superintendent) and Dr Nadeem (Registrar, FJMU). The newly built ward plans to accommodate 21 beds along with 22 beds in the dialysis unit to permit maintenance dialysis of the hospital’s regular patients. The separate OPD room will allow daily counselling of patients. In addition to this, the demonstration room will facilitate the post-graduate training of young doctors. Dr. Shahid Anwar (HOD Nephrology) welcomed and thanked the worthy Voice Chancellor, Prof Dr Khalid Masud and accompanying guest for gracing the event with their presence and invited Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal to say a few words. The Vice Chancellor, in his address, appreciated the facilities and acknowledged the efforts by the team of the department of medicine, as well as the support of administration, for this noble cause. In the end, tea was served, and the hosts thanked the guests with the promise to utilize the facilities for patient welfare.
