Surgical unit III is currently being headed by Professor Imran Aslam. The faculty includes one Associate Professor and five Senior Registrars. Surgical unit III is well focused and fully dedicated to providing excellence in patient care. A seasoned team of experiencedConsultant Surgeons undertakes clinical teaching which is comprised of small group discussions, case presentations, bed side teaching, and online and on campus lectures .All General Surgical major and minor procedures are performed in the unit. The Unit is routinely involved in minimally invasive surgeries and advanced Laparoscopic procedures. Furthermore, all types of surgical trauma are managed very efficiently. The unit takes special interest in management of patients with breast cancer. In this regard Prof. Andleeb Khanum (former Head of Unit) has contributed extensively, towards comprehensive care of patients presenting in Breast Clinic. Breast reconstructive and Oncoplastic surgical procedures are performed with great precision. Regular awareness seminars and walks are also organized by the unit
