*ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE-2023* *PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP ON “ULTRASOUND ELASTOGRAPHY OF LIVER AND BREAST LESIONS”*

A pre-conference workshop on “Ultrasound Elastography of Liver and Breast Lesions” is organized by Radiology Department FJMU/SGRH under the patronage of Respected VC FJMU Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal (Tamgha e Imtiaz, Presidential Pride of Performance), chaired by Chairperson and Head of Radiology Department Prof. Dr. Mah Jabeen Masood, as a series of pre-conference workshops.

The workshop was graced with the presence of Chief Guest Honourable Health Minister Prof. Dr. Javed Akram, Worthy Vice Chancellor FJMU Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal, Prof. Dr. Noreen Akmal, Head of Gynaecology Department and Principal FJMU, ProVC Prof. Dr. Kamran Khalid, Prof. of Rheumatology Dr. Nighat Mir, Prof. Dr. Naeem Afzal, & Prof. Dr. Bilqius Shabbir.

The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Saman Chaudhry (Associate Professor), Dr. Verda Ashraf (Assistant Professor Radiology), Dr. Esha Habib Butt (Assistant Professor Radiology), and Dr. Mehwish Nizam (Senior Registrar Radiology).

The workshop was initiated by Tilawate Quran Pak.

Prof. Dr. Mah Jabeen Masood gave the opening remarks and welcomed all the guests. It was followed by an elaborative presentation by Dr. Esha Habib Butt on ultrasound elastography of liver and breast lesions and its diagnostic application. Further orientation about the protocol and performance for Sono Elastography, its implications in surgical and medical practice was explained by Application Specialist of GE Health via Zoom. Hands-on training was supervised by Dr. Saman, Dr. Verda Ashraf, and Dr. Esha to radiology and medicine residents and consultants.

The respected VC, FJMU, gave a comprehensive talk on the importance of such workshops and appreciated the efforts of the Radiology Department for this healthy activity. Worthy Health Minister Prof. Dr. Javed Akram concluded the occasion, congratulated the organizers and facilitators, stressed on the importance of such workshops, and distributed shields and certificates among the guests and hosts. In the end, Prof. Dr. Mah Jabeen Masood thanked all the attendees and praised the efforts of the Worthy Health Minister, Respectable Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, and Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir in arranging such workshops.
