DIGITAL WEEK AT FJMU-3: FJMU ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE 2023 POST CONFERENCE WORKSHOP ON “THE ART OF DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP”

On January 9, 2024, the Quality Enhancement Cell hosted a workshop titled “The Art of Digital Citizenship” at the DME Conference Hall as part of the ongoing digital week at FJMU. Prof. Bilquis Shabbir, the Director of QEC, organized the event, which was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal, Vice Chancellor of FJMU, and Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Kamran Khalid. The event also had the honor of Prof. Shamsa Humayun, Ex Vice Chancellor of FJMU, serving as the chief guest.
Facilitating the workshop were Prof. Saima Batool, Professor and HOD Pediatrics and Medical Educationalist at the University of Lahore, and Prof. Saima Rafique, Professor of Gynaecology & Obstetrics at the University of Lahore. Both facilitators shared insights on professionalism and wellness in a connected world, unraveling the secrets to thrive in the digital landscape through engaging sessions and interactive discussions.
In her closing remarks, Prof. Bilquis Shabbir expressed gratitude to the participants and esteemed guests for their valuable presence. She provided a brief recap of the workshop’s theme, summarizing the key takeaways. Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal shared insightful perspectives on the utilization of digital tools and techniques in medical education and research. Prof. Shamsa Humayun emphasized the vital role of digitization in the medical profession, commending the visionary efforts of Vice Chancellor FJMU for introducing digital week as part of the post-conference events during the FJMU annual symposium in 2023.
