Every year a different theme is presented to highlight pressing challenges.This year focus is on *Health For All* ,the slogan which was raised five decades ago.The theme focuses on the journey towards achievement of milestones in 75 years and opens a dialogue on “Building Resilient and Quality Health Care System for Public Health Emergencies”.
The Departments of Community Medicine, Department of Medical Education, Quality Enhancement Cell,Fatima Jinnah Medical University under the leadership and vision of Vice Chancellor , Prof.Khalid Masud Gondal (Tamgh-e-Imtiaz, President Pride of Performance ) organized the seminar on above mentioned topic.
Honorable Minister for Specialized Health Care and Medical Education Prof.Dr.Javaid Akram and Minister for Primary and Secondary Health Care Department , Dr Nasir Jamal, embraced the occasion with their presence.They both shared their experiences and insights . Pro Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr.Kamran Khawaja, Principal Fatima Jinnah Medical College, Prof.Noreen Akmal, Prof Dr.Munazza Iqbal Dean Basic and Allied Sciences, Dean Undergraduate Prof.Dr.Muneeza Qayyum , Prof. Dr.Bilquis Shabbir Director Quality Enhancement Cell, Prof Shamsa Hamayun ExVC FJMU, Prof.Aliya Zahid , Prof. Naghama Latif and Prof. Tanveer were also in attendance.
Dr.Naeem Majeed, Public Health Consultant , shared his insight on ‘Resilience of Primary Health Care System in Public Health Emergencies”. Prof Dr.Bilqius Shabbir (Chairperson Department of Medicine, Dean Faculty of Nursing and Director Quality Enhancement Cell) talked about “Experiences and Challenges towards Quality Health Care Delivery at Tertiary level”.
Dr.Yahaya Gulzar, Technical Officer World Health Organization, Punjab presented “WHO: 75 Years of Hand holding and way.”
The Principal Fatima Jinnah Medical College ended the ceremony with the vote of thanks to the Chief Guests, Patron in Chief ,Guest Speakers,faculty and the audience.
