FAREWELL CEREMONY IN THE HONOUR OF DR. TANVEER HUSSAIN, CHAIRPERSON FORENSIC DEPARTMENT, FJMU, LAHORE

In order to highlight the golden norms and traditions that is a hallmark of FJMU under the dynamic and visionary leadership of the worthy Vice Chancellor, FJMU Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal, a farewell ceremony was arranged by the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology in honour of Dr. Tanveer Hussain, being retired as Chairperson of the Forensic Medicine Department.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Chief Guest Worthy Vice Chancellor, FJMU Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal.
Birg. Rtd. Waqar Azeem, Ex-Dean Basic Sciences/ Chairperson Pathology Department Prof. Dr. Munazza Iqbal, Ex-Vice Chancellor, FJMU Prof. Shamsa Humayun, Principal, FJMC Prof. Noreen Akmal, Chairperson Department of Medicine/ Director QEC Prof. Bilquis Shabbir, Registrar, FJMU Prof. Muhammad Nadeem Kasuri graced the occasion as Guest of Honour.
The Chief Guest, Worthy Vice Chancellor, FJMU, addressed the ceremony and highlighted the services of Dr. Tanveer. He appreciated the continuation of such noble traditions at FJMU and motivated the students and faculty members to learn from the experiences of their seniors.
Birg. Rtd. Waqar Azeem, in his address, gave special emphasis on the character building of students and advised them to follow the golden rules of respect for elders, discipline, and hard work.
The faculty of FJMU, including Prof. Dr. Aliya Zahid, Prof. Dr. Naghmana Lateef, Prof. Dr. Noor-Ul-Ain Waheed, Prof. Dr. Lubna Ameer, and Prof. Dr. Ameena Ashraf, admired the services of Dr. Tanveer Hussain and expressed their warm wishes for his bright future.
Renowned personalities from the Forensic Fraternity, including HOD KEMU Dr. Riyasat Ali, HOD Allama Iqbal Medical College Dr. Farhat Sultana, HOD SIMS Prof. Arif Rashid, and Dr. Fareeha Tariq (KEMU), paid tribute to Dr. Tanveer Hussain, shared their experiences, and wished him the best wishes for the new chapter of life.
Class Representative Ms. Amina Masood, on behalf of students, presented flowers to Dr. Tanveer Hussain and participated in cake cutting along with other students to honour their respected teacher and appreciated the efforts of their teachers.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of shields, group photographs, a farewell lunch, and words of thanks to all participants.
