FAREWELL CEREMONY IN THE HONOUR OF MS. SHAHEEN ROOHI, CHIEF MEDICAL ARTIST, FJMU, LAHORE

A farewell ceremony was organised in the honour of Ms. Shaheen Roohi, Chief Medical Artist, FJMU, on her retirement from Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU), Lahore.

Ms. Shaheen Roohi, Chief Medical Artist, FJMU, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Kamran Khalid Khawaja, Principal Prof. Dr. Noreen Akmal, Registrar Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nadeem, Chairperson Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology/Dean Undergraduate Prof. Ayesha Malik, Chairperson Department of Medicine/ Director Quality Enhancement Cell/ Dean Nursing and Allied Prof. Bilquis Shabbir, Prof. Aliya Zahid, Prof. Muhammad Naeem Afzal, Prof. Muhammad Aftab, Dr. Naghmana Lateef, Dr. Taskeen Zahra, and faculty members attended the ceremony.

Principal FJMC Prof. Noreen Akmal appreciated the tireless efforts of Ms. Shaheen Roohi for the institution. Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Kamran Khalid Khawaja conveyed the message of best wishes from the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, FJMU Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal, and further praised her for her unprecedented work during her entire service. Registrar Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nadeem admired her services for Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Lahore, and wished her good luck in the future. Prof. Ayesha Malik, congratulated her and wished her good luck for the future. Prof. Bilquis Shabbir congratulated her on this memorable day and said that you are the identity of Fatima Jinnah Medical University, and this institution will always remember your services.

Ms. Shaheen Roohi thanked all the faculty and distinguished guests and paid special thanks to Vice-Chancellor Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, for his generosity and respect. She expressed that she has been associated with Fatima Jinnah Medical University for more than 37 years. She said that I am very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to serve this institution. Ms. Shaheen Roohi also expressed her deep appreciation for the support of her husband and the prayers of her parents, which played a significant role in her journey.

The ceremony concluded with the cutting of the birthday cake of M. Shaheen Roohi and the distribution of shields to honour her achievements.
