Meeting of the Steering Committee of Fatima Jinnah Institute of Mother and Child Health (MCH) attached with Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Lahore participated by the University and Hospital administration was held today.
Senior Professors of the concerned specialities, including Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Radiology, Pathology and Anesthesiology attended the meeting.
The participants also included the acting Project Director and Consultant of the Project.
Representatives of C&W Department, WASA, LESCO, Architect and PITB were also present.
The basic objective of the meeting was completion of the project as per international standards in the given time lines and rectification measures taken following the observations/directions of the Honorable Chief Minister Punjab.
The participants committed to achieve the target in the given time frame following the Rules and Regulations and International standards and recommendations.
Principal FJMC presented the statistics of patients managed from November 2022 to August 2023. She apprised that total 94,640 patients were seen. Out of them 66069 patients were admitted and managed, which also includes 7889 C-sections and 7884 SVDs.
This state of art facility upon completion would add to 550 beds strength and 4 new gynecological superspecialties, including Uro-Gynae , Fetomaternal Medicine/Surgery, Gynaecolocal Oncology and Reproductive Gynaecology, which would be first of its kind in any public sector institute of country.Various nation and international dignitaries visited the project and appreciated quality service delivery.
