FATIMA JINNAH MEDICAL UNIVERSITY, LAHORE LAUNCHED TREE PLANTATION DRIVE

As per instructions of Govt. of the Punjab, the “Tree Plantation Drive” was organized at Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Lahore, under the kind supervision of the esteemed Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal.

The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal inaugurated the Spring Plantation Drive by planting saplings in the front lawn of Fatima Jinnah Medical University and College of Nursing, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore.

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal also offered special prayers for the safety of the country and the nation, the progress and prosperity of the institution, the well-being of the ailing humanity, and the success of the students.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal said that trees are of fundamental importance in human life. Without trees, it is not possible to imagine life. Trees are the source of life, and their protection sustains life. There is a need to plant more trees to reduce environmental pollution. Pakistan is facing a significant climate change, so everybody should take part in the Tree Plantation Campaign so that environmental and air pollution can be eliminated and Pakistan is protected from climate change.

On this occasion, Principal Prof. Noreen Akmal, Registrar Prof. Muhammad Nadeem, Chairperson Department of Medicine/ Director Quality Assurance Cell / Dean Nursing Prof. Bilquis Shabbir, Medical Superintendent, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Prof. Dr. Hafiz Moin Ud Din, Deans Prof. Prof. Aisha Malik, Abdul Hameed, Prof. Dr. Naveed Akbar Hotiana, Focal Person of Green Youth Movement Dr. Faiza Abrar, Heads of various Departments, faculty members, and a large number of students participated.

Principal Prof. Dr. Noreen Akmal, Registrar Professor Muhammad Nadeem, Chairperson Department of Medicine/ Director Quality Enhancement Cell/ Dean Nursing Prof. Bilquis Shabbir, Medical Superintendent Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Prof. Dr. Hafiz Moin Ud Din and Principal Nursing College Ms. Zamurrad actively took part in the Tree Planting Drive and planted saplings.
