Fatima Jinnah Medical University organized the 6TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON PATIENT SAFETY, on March 10-12, 2023 focused on quality health care and patient safety. Today was Day 2 of the Conference centered on “DIGITAL HEALTH IN Pakistan ” under the patronship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal.The organizing Committee consisted of Prof Kamran Khawaja, Pro-VC, Prof Noreen Akmal Principal, Prof Shamsa Hamayun, Alumnus and ex-VC, Prof Munazza Iqbal, Deal Basic Sciences, Prof Muniza Qayyum, Dean Undergraduate and Prof Bilquis Shabbir, Director Quality Enhancement Cell/Chairperson Medicine.

Highlights of the Conference included multiple preconference workshops, Scientific Symposia and State-of-the-art lectures by national and international faculty. Numerous speakers from all over the world participated in this academic activity.

DAY 2:

SYMPOSIUM ON DIGITAL HEALTH was held at Fatima Jinnah Medical University . The chief guest was Professor Rashid Latif Khan, legendary gynecologist and principal of Rashid Latif Medical College and Hameed Lateef Hospital. Special guests were Prof Amir Zaman Khan, Ex Vice Chancellor, Professor Mahmood Ayaz Vice Chancellor KEMU. Speakers of the session were Professor Amr Jamal King Saud University, Professor Azeem Shah, University of Edinburgh,Professor Dr Paul Barach Maj ( R) Professor Thomas Jefferson University USA ,Sigmund Freud University Veinna , Prof Bilquis Shabbir, Chairperson Department of Medicine, Director Quality Enhancement Cell, Director IT, FJMU. There were wonderful talks on the use of technology and telemedicine especially in Pakistan. This was followed by a robust panel discussion with question answer session. The ceremony was concluded by Vice Chancellor Professor Khalid Masood Gondal with distribution of souvenirs and awards.
