The Department of Histopathology organized a pre-conference workshop on “Road Map to Success for FRCPath” under the kind patronage of the esteemed Vice Chancellor of FJMU Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ameena Ashraf (Chairperson, Department of Pathology, FJMU).
The Chairperson Department of Medicine Prof. Bilquis Shabbir, graced the session as Chief Guest.
The workshop was attended by HODs of various departments and all the heads of pathology sections, including the head of the histopathology section, Dr. Asmaa Qureshi, and the head of haematology, Prof. Humera Rafiq, the head of microbiology, Dr. Sumayya Sikander Beg and Dr. H. M. Umair from chemical pathology.
A large number of students, PGRs, and consultants from various institutions attended the workshop.The workshop started with an introductory note by Dr. Farah Kalsoom. She then shared her experiences and journey to success towards FRCPath. Dr. Farah Kalsoom gave a road map to success for FRCPath in a healthy interactive session. This was followed by a detailed FRCPATH 2 paper discussion by Dr. Asima Naz, who covered various aspects of the exam and key points in an elaborative way. The last session was by Dr. Ammara Anwar, who discussed her recent FCPS histopathology and experience-based learning.
Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir appreciated the Department of Histopathology for organizing this workshop and concluded with some final thoughts on the importance and need of FRCPath.
