A pre-conference workshop on “understanding medico-legal work” was organised by the Department of Forensic Medicine under the supervision of Head of the Department Dr. Tanveer Hussain at FJMU, Lahore.
The Patron-in-chief of the workshop, Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and Presidential Pride of Performance), Vice Chancellor, FJMU, graced the occasion as a chief guest.
Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kamran Khalid Khawaja, Principal FJMC Prof. Dr. Noreen Akmal, and Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir (Chairperson, Department of Medicine/QEC/Dean Nursing, FJMU) graced the occasion.
Prof. Dr. Lubna HOD Pharmacology, Prof. Dr. Ayesha Rashid HOD Psychiatry and Behavioural Science, Dr. Nazia Assistant Prof. Pharmacology, Dr. Nazleen, Dr. Farah HOD DME, CMOs of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, and other faculty members were present in the workshop. The objective of the workshop was to enhance understanding of medicolegal work at various levels and to discuss the challenges faced by doctors providing medicolegal services at various levels in the healthcare department.
The participants of the workshop interacted with the facilitators enthusiastically and removed their queries. The worthy Vice Chancellor addressed the participants, emphasised on the importance of medicolegal work, and appreciated the efforts of the Forensic Department for organising such capacity-building sessions for CMO’s.
The workshop concluded with words of thanks by the worthy Vice Chancellor and a group photo.
