On the occasion of the international symposium, the Faculty of Fatima Jinnah Medical University organized an annual dinner in honor of alumni from the USA, Canada, and the UK. The event was also attended by alumni from sister institutions. The distinguished Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Governor of Punjab Mr. Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman, graced the ceremony as the chief guest, while the Minister for Health, Prof. Dr. Javed Akram, attended as the guest of honor.
Various heads of institutions, including Vice Chancellor KEMU Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz, Principal Prof. Sardar Al Fareez Zafar, Principal Prof. Zohra Khanum, ex-VC Prof. Aamir Zaman Khan, Prof. Shamsa Hamayun, Prof. Sheereen Khawar, ex-Principals Prof. Akbar Chaudhry, Prof. Abdul Majeed Chaudhary, member of the syndicate Syed Farrukh Shah, eminent academicians, senior professors, faculty members, deans, and members of the academic council, graced the dinner ceremony.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal extended a warm welcome to the honorable guests and provided updates on Fatima Jinnah Medical University’s recent contributions in academics, research, and ongoing projects.
President FJMCAANA Dr. Hiba Haider, Past President Dr. Fiza Rafique, President of Allama Iqbal Medical College Alumni Association North America Dr. Nasrum, and alumni from the UK including Dr. Warda Shafi, Dr. Ather Ahmad Saeed, Dr. Tabinda Dogal addressed the audience.
Guest of Honor Prof. Dr. Javed Akram praised the contributions of the faculty of FJMU, specifically acknowledging the establishment of the state-of-the-art Fatima Jinnah Institute of Mother and Child Health and the inauguration of the Artificial Intelligence portal.
The Chief Guest, the honorable Governor of Punjab, acknowledged the efforts of the alumni of Fatima Jinnah Medical University and sister institutions. The flood relief activities of Fatima Jinnah Medical University alumni and the establishment of Fatima Jinnah Village in Tehseel Fazil Pur, District Rajan Pur, in collaboration with Custom Health Care Society, were highly appreciated. The Chief Guest awarded souvenirs to the organizers and foreign guests.
The participants commended the efforts of the organizing committee, especially Pro Chancellor Prof. Kamran Khalid Khawaja, Principal Prof. Noreen Akmal, Registrar Prof. Muhammad Nadeem, and Organizing Secretary Prof. Bilquis Shabbir.
