A prescientific workshop on knee intra-articular injection was organised by Dr Bilal Azeem, AP Medical Unit-I, Rheumatology, under the leadership of Prof Bilquis Shabbir, Chairperson Medicine.
The esteemed Vice Chancellor, FJMU Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He gave his valuable advice to doctors about the importance of this workshop. He appreciated the efforts of Medical Unit 1 in arranging hands on workshops for better training of students and doctors.
Principal FJMC Prof. Noreen Akmal and other faculty members also attended the workshop.
The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Masem Afzal (Assistant Prof. Rheumatology & HOD Al-Aleem Medical College/Gulab Devi Teaching Hospital Lahore), Dr. Bilal Azeem Butt, Dr. Faizan Ahmad, Dr. Zia ul Haq, and Dr. Shoaib. Chairperson Department of Medicine / Director Quality Enhancement Cell, / Dean Nursing Prof. Bilquis Shabbir demonstrated the various sites and techniques of approach of intraarticular injection, explaining the indications. Participants were given hands-on training on actual knee manikins and taught the basics of the procedure.
It was well attended by manyy postgraduate residents from different medical wards of the institute.
