A pre-conference workshop at FJMU on Automated Breast Ultrasound organized by Radiology Department FJMU/SGRH under the patronage of Respected VC FJMU Prof. Khalid Masid Gondal (Tamgha e Imtiaz, Presidential Pride of Performance), chaired by Chairperson and Head of Radiology Department Prof. DR. Mah Jabeen Masood, as a series of pre-conference workshops.
The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Saman Chaudhry (Associate Professor), Dr. Verda Ashraf (Assistant Professor Radiology), and Dr. Mehwish Nizam (Senior Registrar Radiology). Prof. Dr. Basma Khan, Head of Radiology Department, Services Hospital, and Prof. Dr. Saima Ameer, Head of Radiology Department, Mayo Hospital, graced the occasion as guests of honor. The workshop was initiated by Tilawate Quran Pak. Dr. MahJabeen Masood gave the opening remarks. It was followed by an elaborative presentation by Dr. Verda Ashraf on Automated Breast Ultrasound and its diagnostic application. Further orientation about the functioning of Automated Breast Ultrasonography and its implications in surgical practice was explained by Application Specialist of GE Health Natalie Botha via Zoom from Dubai. Hands-on training was supervised by Dr. Saman and Dr. Verda to radiology residents and consultants. Dr. Saman and Dr. Verda responded to the questions of the participants in a very elaborative way.
Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir concluded the occasion, congratulated the organizers and facilitators, stressed the importance of such workshops, and distributed shields among the guests and hosts.
In the end, Prof. Dr. Mah Jabeen Masood thanked all the attendees and praised the efforts of the worthy VC, Pro VC Prof. Dr. Kamran Khalid Khawaja, Principal Prof. Dr. Noreen Akmal, and Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir in arranging such workshops.
