A pre-scientific workshop on “HOW
TO ENTER AND ANALYSE DATA ON SPSS” was organised by the Psychiatry Department under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Aysha Rashid, HOD Psychiatry & Behavioural Sciences, FJMU.
Patron-in-Chief of the workshop PROF. DR. KHALID MASUD GONDAL (T.I. and presidential pride of performance), Vice Chancellor of FJMU graced the occasion as chief guest.
Prof. Dr. Noreen Akmal, Principal FJMC/Director DME, and HOD Gynae Unit 2 along with Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir (Chairperson Department of Medicine/Quality Enhancement Cell/Dean Nursing FJMU), the Secretary Organizing Committee, and Prof. Dr. Shamsa Humayun (visiting Prof. Obst. & Gynae FJMU, former VC and Dean Surgery, FJMU) and Dr. Nazia also graced the occasion.
The session was facilitated by Dr. Mariam Iftikhar, Assistant Professor of psychiatry.
The main objective of today’s workshop was to make the participants learn about the various types of data, how to enter data on SPSSS, and how to run the analysis.
The worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, emphasised its importance as research has become part and parcel and has become a mandatory part of the FCPS postgraduate training program of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan. He enlightened the participants that it is part of the FCPS training program and with this knowledge, the standard and quality of FCPS will be more validated and enhanced in the future. He highly appreciated the facilitators, Dr. Mariam Iftikhar and Prof. Dr. Aysha Rashid, for organising such a workshop.
