The Hon’ble Health Minister of Punjab, Mr. Khawaja Salman Rafiq, specially congratulated Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir (Chairperson, Department of Medicine/ Dean Nursing/ Director QEC) on receiving the prestigious Civil Award “Presidential Pride of Performance Award” as a result of valuable and exemplary services in the field of Medicine.
The Vice Chancellor of FJMU, Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal, and the Vice Chancellor of KEMU, Prof. Mehmood Ayaz, were also accompanied by the Hon’ble Health Minister of Punjab.
On March 23, 2024, a prestigious ceremony was held at the Governor House, Lahore, in which Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir was awarded the Presidential Pride of Performance Award in Public Health by the Hon’ble Governor of Punjab, Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman on her significant role in the establishment of the Telemedicine Department at King Edward Medical University and Fatima Jinnah Medical University, exemplary services in the Department of Telemedicine during the Corona pandemic, and the construction of more than 300 houses, community centre, schools, training centre, and dispensaries in the flood-affected areas of 2022, especially in Kashanibasti, Rajanpur and being the Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell, she played a significant role in securing Fatima Jinnah Medical University, a prominent position in the global rankings.
The Hon’ble Health Minister of Punjab, Mr. Khawaja Salman Rafiq, also commended the unwavering dedication and pioneering efforts of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal, and the entire university administration and faculty for their outstanding contributions in Healthcare facilities.
