*HON’BLE HEALTH MINISTER PUNJAB MR. KHAWAJA SALMAN RAFIQ VISITED NEWLY REVAMPED C-BLOCK OF SIR GANGA RAM HOSPITAL AND FATIMA JINNAH INSTITUTE OF MOTHER AND CHILD HEALTH*

The Hon’ble Minister for Health Punjab, Mr. Khawaja Salman Rafiq, visited the Newly Revamped C-Block of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Fatima Jinnah Institute of Mother & Child Health, Lahore, accompanied by the Vice Chancellor of FJMU, Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal, and the Vice Chancellor of KEMU, Prof. Mehmood Ayaz.

On this occasion, Principal FJMC Prof. Noreen Akmal, Medical Superintendent SGRH Prof. Dr. Hafiz Moin Ud Din, Chairperson Department of Medicine/ Dean Nursing/ Director QEC, FJMU Prof. Bilquis Shabbir, Additional Medical Superintendent Dr. Athar Yousaf, Consultant Development Projects SGRH Dr. Ijaz Ahmed Sheikh, and other faculty members were also present.

Health Minister Mr. Khawaja Salman Rafiq visited various wards, especially the private rooms of the newly revamped C-Block of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, and examined the status of work done. He also examined in detail the whole process of patient check-up in Fatima Jinnah Institute of Mother & Child Health.

The Vice Chancellor of FJMU, Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal, gave a detailed briefing to the Hon’ble Health Minister of Punjab. Expressing his views, the Health Minister of Punjab, Mr. Khawaja Salman Rafiq, said that the healthcare facilities at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital are much better. He desired that the patient should not face any difficulty in any government hospital in Punjab. These public hospitals are run with public taxes. Better treatment of the patients is our first priority. He further desired to ensure the supply of medicines 24/7 as per the vision of Hon’ble Chief Minister Punjab Mohtrama Maryam Nawaz. He also appreciated the dynamic supervision of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, and said that this institute will continue to provide the best healthcare facilities to ailing humanity.
