*INNOVATION IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY* FATIMA JINNAH MEDICAL UNIVERSITY attended the Launch Ceremony of FiTE( Foreign IT Engineers)

The Vice-Chancellor FJMU, Prof Khalid Masud Gondal, and Director QEC/IT Prof Bilquis Shabbir attended an important meeting on the launch of FiTE (Foreign IT Engineers). The meeting hosted by HEC started with the National Anthems of both Pakistan and Japan,recitation of the holy Quran, and a moment of silence for the flood affectees.

Mr Nobuo Shiobara, CEO Profound Vision, Japan, expressed his appreciation and pleasure over a future liaison with IT professionals of Pakistan with Higher education Commission . He said the population of Japan is ageing and hence professionals from the youth of Pakistan will be a welcoming step. An IT portal will be a connection between the engineers of the two countries on the 70th anniversary of Pak- Japan collaboration on various projects of development. The meeting was also attended by Chairman HEC Prof Mukhtar Ahmad, Mr. David Curry, CIO Profound Vision, Australia, and Mr Paul Guilfoile, Profound vision Pakistan.

FJMU, as envisioned by VC Prof Khalid Masood Gondal, can utilize IT to modernize academics, research and service delivery especially in way of establishment and strenghthening of Telemedicine services especially in the FJMU VILLAGE being established in the flood afflicted area of Rajanpur, South Punjab.
