A meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR) was held on Thursday, August 03, 2023, under the Chairmanship of the Pro-Vice Chancellor, FJMU Prof. Dr. Kamran Khalid Khawaja, at Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Lahore.
The Respected Members of the BASR which include Ex-Professor/ Head of Pathology Department, FJMU, Prof. Munazza Iqbal, Chairperson Department of Medicine/Dean Faculty of Nursing/Director Quality Enhancement Cell, Prof. Bilquis Shabbir, Dean Neurosciences, Prof. Abdul Hameed; Dean Medicine, Prof. Muhammad Nadeem; Dean Public Health & Preventive Medicine, Prof. Naveed Akbar Hotiana; Dean Faculty of Basic Sciences, Prof. Aliya Zahid; Head of Psychiatry Department, Prof. Aysha Rashid, Professor of Community Medicine, UOL, Prof. Munir Akhtar Saleemi, Head of Community Medicine Dr. Taskeen Zahra, Associate Professor ENT Dr. Waseem Hayat Khan and Controller of Examinations, Mr. Muhammad Nabeel attended the meeting.
Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Kamran Khalid Khawaja welcomed all the members.
A total of 10 candidates, along with their supervisors, appeared before the board for the approval of their synopses.
The BASR unanimously approved the synopses of the Nine candidates with some amendments and the remaining one candidate was directed to reappear before the board in the next meeting of BASR.
The meeting was ended with a vote of thanks by the Chair.
