On November 14th, to mark World Diabetes Day, the Health Minister collaborated with PSIM and PES to organize a commemorative event at the Governor House. The gathering included a walk and stalls providing screening, monitoring, and educational resources for those affected by diabetes. Prof Javed Akram, the Health Minister, addressed the growing prevalence of diabetes and its societal impact during the event. Mr. BalighurRehman, the Governor of Punjab, praised the initiative and emphasized the importance of disease awareness. FJMU was represented by senior staff, including VC-FJMU Prof Khalid Masud Gondal, ProVC Prof Kamran Khalid Khawaja, Registrar Prof Nadeem Kasuri, Prof Bilquis Shabbir, Chairperson/Professor of Medicine, Dean Faculty of Nursing, and Director QEC, who congratulated the Health Minister for effectively delivering the message. The event was attended by senior members from both organizations, faculty, and individuals living with diabetes.
