On World Diabetes Day, FJMU was recognized and honored by the Governor of Punjab for its outstanding contributions in the field of Diabetes Mellitus. The award ceremony, organized by PSIM and PES, saw the prestigious accolades being received by Prof Khalid Masud Gondal, the Vice-Chancellor of FJMU, who has made significant contributions as a surgeon in the treatment of complicated diabetic patients. Prof Bilquis Shabbir, the Chairperson and Professor in the Department of Medicine, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, and Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell, also received an award for her dedicated efforts in the cause of Diabetes Mellitus. Prof Bilal Mohiuddin, Prof of Cardiology was recognised for his services in Cardiology. Prof Javed Akram, the Minister of Health, extended his congratulations to both honorees for their remarkable achievements. VC FJMU tnhanked and congratulated Minister for Health, Prof Dr. Javed Akram, and the organizers for hosting a magnificent event that featured representation from across the country. It was indeed a noteworthy occasion that highlighted the significance of the efforts and contributions made in the field of Diabetes Mellitus in Pakistan.
