The Department of Pharmacology, FJMU organised a posters competition for students of 3rd year MBBS at FJMU/SGRH on August 30, 2023.
The Worthy Vice Chancellor, FJMU Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kamran Khalid Khawaja, Ex-Vice Chancellor FJMU Prof. Shamsa Humayun, Ex-Dean Basic Sciences Prof. Dr. Munazza Iqbal, and Ex-Dean Undergraduate Prof. Muniza Qayyum and faculty members also attended the competition.
The poster competition was judged by Principal FJMU Prof. Dr. Noreen Akmal, Chairperson Medicine/Dean Nursing/Director Quality Enhancement Cell Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir, and Registrar Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nadeem Kasuri. They marked the participants on basis of content of the posters, and after a thorough question answer session assessing the depth of knowledge.
All the preparations for the competition were supervised by the Head of Department, Prof. Dr. Lubna Amir, and Dr. Muniza Qayyum.
Associate Professor Dr. Gulpash Saghir, Assistant Professor Dr. Nazia Rashid, and all the demonstrators served as facilitators of that competition. All the students in the 3rd year participated in this competition with great enthusiasm. The posters were highly academic, presenting not only the educational skills of our students but also their talents. The students participated in the event in the form of groups.
1st position of Posters Competition was secured by Group-18, which consisted of Ms. Iqra Idrees, Ms. Mishal Younas, Ms. Bisma Aslam, Ms. Aliza Nasir, Ms. Khadija Tayyab, Ms. Bareera Ishfaq, Ms. Ayesha Rizwan, Ms. Beenish Murshid, Ms. Lubna Jan, and Ms. Norin.
2nd position of Poster competition was secured by Group 3 which was leaded by Ms. Tanzeel Sadiq.
3rd position of Poster competition was secured by Group 7, which was leaded by Ms. Momeena Maheen
The Head of Pharmacology Department hoped that this type of academic activity would be continued under the kind patronage of the worthy Vice Chancellor, FJMU Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal, in the future, insha’Allah.
