POSTERS EXHIBITION IN COMMUNITY MEDICINE DEPARTMENT OF FATIMA JINNAH MEDICAL UNIVERSITY, LAHORE

Pre-conference Workshop:

A poster exhibition (quality research and health education) was organized by the Department of Community Medicine under the kind patronage of esteemed Vice Chancellor FJMU, Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal (Tamgh-i-Imtiaz, Presidential Pride of Performance) on November 29, 2023.

The Vice Chancellor of FJMU, Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, and the Ex-Vice Chancellor of FJMU, Prof. Dr. Aamir Zaman Khan, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Guest of Honor.

The Vice Chancellor, FJMU Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal, inaugurated the exhibition by cutting ribbon along with the Guest of Honor and the faculty members.

Dean Basic Sciences/ HOD Anatomy Prof. Dr. Aliya Zahid, HOD Pharmacology Prof. Dr. Lubna Amir, HOD Pathology Prof. Dr. Ameena Ashraf and HOD Physiology Department Prof. Dr. Naghmana Latif joined the event as Research Poster Judges.

HOD Biochemistry Dr. Noor Ul Ain and HOD Preventive Paediatrics Dr. Rameeza Kaleem joined as Health Education Poster Judges.

Dr. Taskeen Zahra and her team supervised and facilitated the exhibition.

Students of the fourth-year MBBS class presented their research posters and health education material enthusiastically. In each category, the top three positions were determined.

The Vice Chancellor, FJMU Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal, along with Chief Guest Prof. Aamir Zaman Khan, Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir, Chairperson Medicine/ Director QEC/ Dean Nursing, Prof. Dr. Naveed Hotiana, Dean Preventive Medicine, Prof. Dr. Fauzia Ishaq, Prof. Naeem Afzal, Dr. Tanveer Hussain, and Mr. Muhammad Nabeel, critically analysed the posters and appreciated the efforts of the Department of Community Medicine and the students. The Vice Chancellor, FJMU Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal, further appreciated the creativity, innovative thoughts, and complex poster designs presented by the fourth-year MBBS students of FJMU.

The activity concluded with the renewal of ambition to promote quality research & medical education under the kind patronage of the worthy Vice Chancellor, FJMU Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal, in the future, insha’Allah.
