PRE CONFERENCE WORKSHOP ON CLINICAL ASPECTS OF BLOOD TRANSFUSION ORGANIZED BY DEPTT OF PATHOLOGY FJMU

Annual Scientific symposium preconference workshop at FJMU on Clinical Aspects of Blood Transfusion was organized under patronship of Vice Chancellor FJMU Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and Presidential Pride Of Performance), chaired by Chairperson, Prof. Dr. Munazza Iqbal (Head of Pathology Department, Dean Basic Sciences, FJMU), as a series of preconference workshops of Annual Symposium 2022. Welcome address was given by Prof. Munazza Iqbal.

The workshop was facilitated by Haematology section of Pathology Department by Prof.Dr Shabnum Bashir, Dr Naghmana Mazher, Dr Romaisa Naeem and Dr Ammarah Sharif. Dr Naghmana Mazher discussed the safe blood transfusion and blood component preparation, Dr Romaisa Naeem talked in detailed about Massive Transfusion Protocol and Dr Ammarah Sharif discussed the Classification and Management of Blood Transfusion Reactions.. There was an elaborate question answer session at the end.It was stressed that this activity should be organised on regular basis in collaboration with clinical departments. VC FJMU Concluded the occasion by congratulating the organizers and facilitators and praised the Pathology department FJMU for their active participation in organizing preconference workshops.
