Workshop was conducted in Khaliq Auditorium by Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology Unit 3 under the patronship of Vice Chancellor FJMU, Prof.Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal (Tamgha e Imtiaz & Presidential Pride of Performance ) and supervision and organisation of Professor Dr. Noreen Akmal Principal Fatima Jinnah Medical College.
27 participants actively participated in this hands on workshop. Senior registrars Dr Afshan Rasheed and Dr.Humna Mian Faiz Rasul were the coordinators of this workshop.
Workshop started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. A pre test was taken before workshop by Dr.Khola Yousaf. It was followed by interactive discussion by Assistant Professor Dr.Hina Masood.
The facilitation was done by Senior Registrars Dr.Fatima Mateen, Dr.Qurat ul ain Shehzad, Dr.Sadia Nazeer. Dr.Farzana Rizwan and Dr. Mehak from Family planning department Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Lahore also facilitated the workshop.
This workshop was keenly attended by the post graduate trainees .There were four stations with hands on training on Interval IUCD, Postpartum IUCD, Jadelle and Mirena insertion.
All the candidates had hands on practice and discussion on each station with facilitators according to the recommendations from Nice and RCOG guide lines.
The workshop was graced by the presence of Dean basic sciences Professor Munnaza Iqbal, Professor Dr.Noreen Akmal Principal Fatima Jinnah Medical College. They were welcomed by Dr.Alia Zaineb Associate professor unit 3 . Professor Munnaza Iqbal appreciated the Head of department, Prof Dr Noreen Akmal and her team for carrying this collaborative teaching and learning activity. She praised the hard work and efforts of the department, appreciated the candidates for their interest.
At the end online online post test from participants and feed feedback from participants and facilitators was taken. Participants were awarded certificates of by Prof. Munnaza Iqbal, Dean Basic Sciences
