A pre-conference workshop titled “Digital Defence: safeguarding yourself in the age of AI breakthroughs” was held in the Department of Medical Education of FJMU on February 24 under the kind guidance and patronship of Vice Chancellor, FJMU/ President CPSP, Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal.
This workshop was part of various pre-conference workshops of the CPSP international conference on medical education, IMECON, to be held from February 27 to March 2, 2024 in Head Office CPSP, Karachi.
Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir, Chairperson Department of Medicine/ Dean Nursing Allied/ Director, QEC, FJMU, and Dr. Faiza Abrar, Assistant Professor Biochemistry, FJMU, were the facilitators of the workshop.
A total of 30 participants from various institutes in Lahore actively participated in this workshop.
Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir gave an interesting eye-opening insight on the advancement of Artificial Intelligence over the last couple of years and ethical issues related to their use in various fields of our daily lives as well as in medical practices. This interactive session and illustrations were thoroughly enjoyed by teh participants.
Dr. Faiza Abrar gave an interactive insight on various AI threats, the importance of creating an effective digital footprint, cyber crimes and hacking, and how to safely guard ourselves from these cyber crimes.
The workshop had various interactive and interesting hands-on activities for participants.
At the end of the workshop, the Vice Chancellor of FJMU, Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal, graced the occasion, followed by a group photo with participants.
