Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir, alumnus and faculty of FJMU, recognized and awarded with the Presidential Pride of Performance Award for exemplary services at the National Level.

Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir is serving as the Head of the Department of Medicine, Dean of Nursing, and Director، Quality Enhancement Cell at Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Lahore.

On March 23, 2024, a prestigious ceremony was held at the Governor House, Lahore, in which Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir was awarded the Presidential Pride of Performance Award in Public Health by the Hon’ble Governor of Punjab, Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman.

Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir played an exemplary role in serving patients and in the establishment of the Telemedicine Department at King Edward Medical University and Fatima Jinnah Medical University during the Corona pandemic, and the construction of more than 300 houses, community centre, schools, training centre, and dispensaries in the flood-affected areas of 2022, especially in Kashanibasti, Rajanpur.

Being the Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell, she played a significant role in securing Fatima Jinnah Medical University, a prominent position in the global rankings.

It is important to note that Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir also has the honour of being the Best Graduate of Fatima Jinnah Medical University.

Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir has been awarded the Presidential Pride of Performance Award as a result of all these valuable and exemplary services.
