The Department of Medical Education, Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Lahore, organised the 1st contact session of Batch 8th Certificate in Health Professionals Education (CHPE) course from September 11 to 13, 2023, under the kind patronage of the Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, Presidential Pride of Performance)

The Department of Medical Education, Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Lahore, organised the 1st contact session of Batch 8th Certificate in Health Professionals Education (CHPE) course from September 11 to 13, 2023, under the kind patronage of the Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, Presidential Pride of Performance) and under the supervision of Prof. Noreen Akmal, Principal, FatimaJinnah Medical College/ Director Medical Education.

Today’s session was facilitated by Prof. Mowadat Hussain Rana, a renowned Medical Educationist and Professor of Psychiatry. He taught the students about the basic concepts of Medical Education, Teaching learning theories, Attribution, Reflection and Feedback.

There were a total of 26 students enrolled in this batch. Out of these, 13 are from the FJMU and affiliated institutions, and 13 are from other teaching institutions and hospitals of the country.

Prof. Kamran Khalid, Pro Vice Chancellor/ Dean of Surgery, and Prof. Bilquis Shabbir, Dean Nursing/ Chairperson Department of Medicine/ Director QEC, also attended the session.

Dr. Farah Rehman, Assistant Professor, Department of Medical Education, organised and coordinated the session.
