The National Health Research Conference 2023 took place on September 9, 2023, at Serena Hotel with the aim of promoting a research culture in Pakistan. The theme of the conference was “Advocating and advancing health research prioritization in Pakistan.” This event was a collaborative effort involving prominent national funding agencies such as the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, Pakistan Science Foundation, Pakistan Academy of Sciences, and the National Institute of Health.

The delegate from Fatima Jinnah Medical University Lahore, patronised by the esteemed Vice Chancellor Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal), led by Prof. Bilquis Shabbir, Director QEC, Dean Nursing, Chairperson Medicine, accompanied by Dr. Tazkeen Zahra, HOD Community Medicine, and Dr. Nazia Bilal SR Gynae and Obstetrics actively participated in the conference, contributing their expertise and insights to the discussions and sessions.

The conference covered a wide range of topics, including health research contextualization and prioritization, emerging research areas, pharmaceutical research, drug development, and more.
