TRAINING SESSION ON CLINICAL MANAGEMENT OF DENGUE FEVER HELD AT FATIMA JINNAH MEDICAL UNIVERSITY, LAHORE

A training workshop for Doctors, Nurses, and Paramedics on Clinical Management of Dengue was organised by the Department of Medicine Unit-III, FJMU/SGRH, in collaboration with Chairperson, Department of Medicine, Prof. Bilquis Shabbir, held at Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Lahore.
The esteemed Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
Prof. Muhammad Aftab and his team welcomed the Chief Guest.
The Chairperson, Department of Medicine/ Dean Faculty of Nursing/Director, Quality Enhancement Cell, Prof. Bilquis Shabbir; Heads of different departments, Faculty of Medicine and other departments; Postgraduate Students, House Officers, Nurses, and Paramedics also attended the workshop.
Prof. Bilquis Shabbir emphasized the significance of a correct clinical approach, recognition of red signs, and the timely management of patients.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, highlighted the main objective of the training workshops, to raise awareness about dengue, promote preventive measures, and improve the skills of the health facilitators. He said that the one who saved the life of a single person, as if he saved the life of whole humanity. Vice Chancellor Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal also thanked and congratulated Prof. Muhammad Aftab and his team for the excellent arrangement of the training workshop.
Dr. Mugheesa from Medical Unit-I, Dr. Anas from Medical Unit-II, and Dr. Sibgha Kanwal from Medical Unit-lll delivered lectures in the training workshop, discussed the epidemiology and diagnosis of dengue fever, focused on the monitoring of dengue points, and discussed recent advances in the management of dengue fever, including early diagnosis of dengue fever, close monitoring of patients, and adequate treatment of patients.
The workshop was concluded with a word of thanks from Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aftab, who acknowledged the efforts of young Doctors, Nurses, and Paramedics, followed by a Group Photo.
