WORKSHOP ON ‘’COPING WITH CHALLENGES OF PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH IN MIDLIFE

A workshop on ”Coping with Challenges of Physical and Mental Health in Midlife ‘’was conducted by the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics Unit-4, FJMU/SGRH under the dynamic supervision of Prof. Dr. Amna Zia Eusaph, HOD Gynae Unit 4.
The objective of the workshop was to highlight the importance of physical and mental well-being.
Prof. Dr. Amna Zia Eusaph, highlighted the importance of mental health. An important lecture on coping with physical and mental wellbeing was delivered by Prof. Dr. Rubina Sohail and Prof. Dr. Shaila Anwar.
An informative presentation, along with meditation, was presented by Prof. Dr. Shaila Anwar. All the professors and participants enjoyed it a lot.
The esteemed Vice Chancellor, FJMU, Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal (Tamgha e Imtiaz & Presidential Pride of Performance), graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He gave his valuable advice to the doctors about the importance of this workshop and also told the participants about the importance of family, how communication should be done and how important it is to follow our religious norms as Muslims and use the tools that Islam has given us to help ourselves in terms of mental and physical wellbeing. He appreciated the efforts of Gynae Unit 4 for organizing this informative workshop.
More than 60 participants from the Gynae Department of different hospitals attended the workshop, including Prof. Dr. Shamsa Humayun, Prof. Dr. Aisha Malik. Prof. Dr. Shamila Ijaz, Prof. Dr. Mehr Un Nisa, Prof. Dr. Uzma Hussain, and Dr. Misbah Javaid, along with the whole Gynae Faculty from Sir Gangaram Hospital.
A pre- and post-test regarding the workshop were conducted.
At the end of the workshop, Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal distributed shields among the organisers and facilitators of the workshop.
