WORKSHOP ON “Start-up: Action and Sustainability” AT FJMU ARRANGED BY ORIC AND QEC, FJMU.

Innovation and entrepreneurship, along with technology together can open up a new avenue of development and knowledge-based prosperity for Pakistan.

In an attempt to equip, students with various business models, start-ups, and entrepreneurship, the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), under the visionary and dynamic leadership of Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal (Tamga-e-Imtiaz, Presidential Pride of Performance), held a workshop on “Start-up: Action and Sustainability” on September 20, 2023.

The worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

Prof. Dr. Shamsa Humayun, Prof. Dr. Aliya, Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir, Dr. Rameeza Kaleem, Dr. Taskeen Zahra, Dr. Fariha Naznen, Dr. Saira Iqbal, Dr. Tanveer, Dr. Asma Nazir, and students attended the workshop.

Leading entrepreneur of the country, Ms. Rabia Aamir (Partner Happa Studios, Consultant & Founder Bastaan Online), Sharmeen Tariq (Climate Change strategist, water stewardship specialist, and entrepreneur), Omar Nazir (Managing Partner, Baked Corporate Banker), and Bilal Mumtaz (Director at Ailaaj and Head of Business Development at FDS Pvt Ltd) conducted the workshop.

The objective of the workshop was to explore the powerful synergy between launching successful start-ups and fostering sustainability. The workshop ended with a panel discussion and a question-and-answer session.
