WORLD ANAESTHESIA DAY CELEBRATED AT FJMU/SGRH

*WORLD ANAESTHESIA DAY CELEBRATED AT FJMU/SGRH*
Department of Anaesthesia Critical Care and Pain Management, Fatima Jinnah Medical University/ Sir GangaRam Hospital Lahore, conducted a ceremony regarding the celebration of World Anaesthesia Day 2022.
In the ceremony, Vice Chancellor FJMU, Prof.Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal was invited as a Chief Guest. Head of Anaesthesia Department, FJMU/SGRH, Prof.Dr.Muzamil Hussain, Professor of Anaesthesia FJMU/SGRH, Prof.Dr.Liaqat Ali, Dean of Gynae & Obs, Prof. Dr. Shamsa Humayun, Prof.Dr.Nadeem Kasuri, Dean of Surgery, Prof.Dr.Kamran Khalid Khawaja,Prof.Dr.Huma Kiyani, Prof.Dr.Abdul Hameed, Prof.Dr.Noreen Akmal, Prof.Dr.Shamila Ijaz, Prof.Dr.Zohra Khanum, President Pakistan Society of Anaesthesiologists,Prof.Dr.Khalid Bashir, Prof. Dr.Ashraf Zia,Prof.Dr.Khawar Ali, Prof.Dr.Jodat, attended the ceremony and graced it with their presence.
The Vice Chancellor emphasised on the importance of Anaeathesia and further shed light on how to become a safe anaesthetist and learn new innovations in the field of Anaesthesia to serve the ailing humanity.Vice Chancellor on this occasion specially apperciated contributions of FJMU Alumni (FJMCAANA) for their unprecedented contributions and support in medical camp and Rehabilitation of flood effected areas. Dr Samina and Dr Adeela Shahid represented FJMU Alumni and presented a cheque on behalf of their class for flood effected areas.
Prof.Dr.Muzamil and other speakers stressed on the need of safe anaesthesia and vigilant monitoring in the field of anaesthesia while ensuring better patient care.
At the end of the ceremony, VC FJMU, distributed the certificates of participation amongst the doctors of Sir Gangaram Hospital, who had attended the Workshop on Ultrasound guided Lower Limb Nerve Blocks.
Finally, a cake cutting ceremony was held to celebrate World Anaesthesia Day, where VC FJMU, himself cut the cake and congratulated the Anaesthesia Dept.SGRH/FJMU and other faculty members present in the ceremony.
